About three years ago, I was so utterly discusted with how people conduct themselves these days, that I wrote God a letter as if he would soon be reading it. In essence, I told him that I was insulted to have to live among the trash in todays world, and that it seems like it was never virtuous to have integrity, or for that matter, virtue. I went on to question how it came to be that you are a winner when you can tell the best lie and go to the head of the class. I also wondered, right there in that letter, why when I felt like I was evolving so much and trying to more harmoneous with the universe, did I feel that compassion and forgiveness were like having a disease. There were scarcely any like minded people around, family included and I was very dismayed. I asked him if at some point the rules had been changed and I wasnt told or if in fact I was dropped off on the wrong planet because I felt like I had nothing in common, nor did I think I wanted anything in common, with anyone else I knew at that time of my life.

I don't remember recieving a reply to my letter, but it became known to me that "it was how it was suppose to be." Ok, great, well then what in heavens name book of rules was I playing with?
"The one that has a title "We can teach you integrity in one easy lesson." Finally why did any of this matter, as far as I was concerned, the human race wasn't worth saving or even worth offering a smile or kind word.

"Because, just as ****ed up as the species is, interdependance is a higher state than independence. We need each other and always will. All of us. Hopefully it is for more than just being there to be robbed blind before your very eyes.

Now, in conclusion and using my imagination, What kind of experience would it have been if you, Having witnessed these deeds, would have approach one of these individuals in the old lady's behalf. My imagination screams that I wouldn't want to have that type of possible unpleasantness, but I forge on. It is a scary thing to witness someone doing something so sh****, and believe that we should intervene in some way, but really, that is our job exactly. By not doing anything at all is almost the same thing as if you were the one stealing. Wait, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings by any means. The reason that people find such acts as acceptable as any other is because there aren't enough of us saying that "it isnt ok to do that to us." Obviously we are all to afraid of what will be done to us if we do. I'm sorry that standing up on the side of good Vs. evil doesnt mean that much to people and that we will continue to be a part of that problem rather than try to be a part of a solution. Call me nuts, but I Hope to never stop standing up on the side of good no matter what the consiquense, as I can think of no better reason to die.

I don't know but there are. Someone said people have always been this way. Maybe but not like this. Besides dishonesty, violent crime has risen 2000% since 1960. In other words you are 20 times more likely to be raped , killed or beaten than in 1960. By the way that number is adjusted for population increase.
People used to buy land on a handshake. They used to let a man get up before striking him in a fight. Nowadays they kick your head in even when you're unconcious. It's going to get worse. To the guy who mentioned poverty above: nice try , typical modern excuse. I grew up in a dirt poor country. There was no crime if I recall. I used to travel on the buses by myself at 9 oclock in the evening by myself all the time at ten years of age

Humans have always been like this ...each one of us has some bad trait, some more than others , sad lot aren't we . I have this theory that we are at this end of the galaxy to keep us way from anything else, or we we kill or steal or enslave what ever we come across..Kindness, Gentleness ..Love is so foreign to us ...

We are all sinners. Some more than others.
People just need to repent and talk to God.
I really try to be honest.
That situation would have really pissed me off.
I hate people like that.
I am glad you recognize honesty.
