To achieve the projection you need to focus well, the technique is the most important. The connection between your body main functions, like breath and pump blood has to be very exact to project your soul external to that enviroment.

one of my closest friends had died 9 years ago. i have bever really tried to contact him but i think he has me from time to tome especially shortly after his death, he`d be in my dreams and i`d wake up but not really remembering the whole dream, but i knew he was close by me some how, way shape or form. i still don`t understand what it means, but dreams always mean something in my own opinion. good luck to you.

Yes. But you need to be practiced in medititation first. You dont need to be sleeping. You can drop down to another level and spiritually project to find them though. :)
