I think your body should be able to pass a quarter. I wouldn't bother with an x-ray

Looks like you don't ned one.....it will all come out in "the end", eventually!
My child swallowed a quarter or a marble ... something. What should I do?
If she can't make normal sounds — meaning she can't breathe — it's too late to call a doctor. Yell for someone else to call 911, or do it yourself — now. Then get to work on clearing her airway. Lie her on her back and deliver six to ten abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver) to the soft spot midway between the navel and the rib cage. It's best to kneel at your child's feet and push with the heel of one hand, placing the other on top for support. Pump in and up rapidly but not violently. Remember, this is a small child. For more information on how to do this, see our illustrated guide to first aid for choking and CPR.
If your child can breathe but is coughing, crying, or wheezing, she's probably not in immediate danger. The windpipe quickly adjusts to the blockage, and the lungs draw air around it. Resist the temptation to dislodge a coin or marble or grape directly, or work it out by massaging the neck. This often backfires; the thing digs in or, worse, drops lower down the windpipe. Just get your child to the hospital as soon as you can.
If you think she swallowed something, but she seems no worse for the wear, the object probably made it all the way down. Still, you should call your pediatrician and tell him what you think your child swallowed. Some coins, medicines, and other objects may need to come out sooner than nature allows.

I'm not quite sure. I've swallowed a baby tooth before when I was young. My mother was trying to pull it out except the tooth flew up in the air and since my mouth was still opened the tooth flew back inside my mouth, down the throat and eventually the baby tooth came out the other end. As for the quarter you swallowed, not sure. You should definately go see a doctor and have him/her get you checked out!! BTW: Why did you swallow a quarter in the first place?

Don't get a quater x-rayed... you would get busted. Is it in baggies? Just wait for it to pass. Probably consider getting someone else to smuggle your drugs for you from now on.

Why would you need an x-ray, and why would you have to postpone it?
You should pass it just fine. It's not like you swallowed a pitch fork.

Call your primary physician for advice, but the quarter will probably pass with out any medical attention.

I think that when anything that isn't meant to be eaten/swallowed you should contact your doctor and ask what they think you should do. My little baby swallowed a cherry seed yesterday and today it came out. So maybe if it doesn't come out by tommorrow call your doctor.

You need to go see a doctor although the quarter may pass in your stool.

You should get one right away cause the coin might get lodged somewhere in your system & cause some form of blockage.
