it appears to affect all ages and both sexes as well as animals. i suspect it is the chemicals used in farming , particularly the defolients used on cotton. it may be possible there is a synergistic effect from combinations of the various chemicals similar to combining various medications or drugs. i wonder if this has ever been studied.

statistics show this county to have one of the highest cancer rates in the country. i personally know 4 people who have lost dogs to cancerous tumors in the last 3 years. one is my doctor, another is a friend, a hunter who lost 4 of his hunting dogs similarly and a neigher who lost his dog similarly. it appears some cotton farming families are especially affected.it is irrelavent to me that other farming areas have similar high cancer .just because it is simarily high in other farm areas doesnt mean its an acceptable or justifiable situation .i want to know why so somthing can be done about it.

Don't know!! But where I grew up, south Texas the same thing is happening. It seems that I know too many people who have or have had cancer. My dad, step-mom, and step-brother were all diagnosed with three different cancers in one year.

About 1 in 4 people develop some kind of cancer at some point, so it is not at all unusual for it to appear as though there is some proximal geographical cause. Usually there isn't. If you really think there is, compare cancer rates in your community with another similar community farming cotton elsewhere that uses similar "chemicals". Don't forget, everything is a chemical!

If the other community has elevated rates of the same cancers, and an otherwise similar community that does not farm cotton has significantly lower rates, you may be on to something.

How do you know animals have cancer? Or are you just taliking about pets and farm animals?

"In the past I made meat ok to eat,;now I make it a poison to him." (Oahspe) Anyone desperately searchng for answers could do worse than to quit the meat first and start analyzing the reasons 2nd.
