Front line and Advantage or Sergent Gold.
The kind that kills eggs too-must have-you can't beat it. Make sure it kills eggs.
If you looking for natural--harder-but eucalyptus oil, feed garlic ,watch his diet, citrus bath-oranges.
Do monthly if in a high flea area-our area has them bad at times.
You should do your house too or they will still multiply in you house.

You need to control the fleas comming from around the house and yard aswell as the dog. Make sure you wash bedding in hot water or just replace it..get an exterminator in to spray for fleas..Try using frontline or advantage on your dog monthly to keep fleas of your dog..There is nothing worse than having your poor dog covered in fleas i know!! I hope you can be rid of the problem for you and your doggy! Good luck!..one more thing, i have heard that garlic is bad for dogs too...

Bathe with a flea and tick shampoo, then when they are dry put on drops (they sell at most stores) that kill and protect the dog from fleas. You have to be sure the kill the fleas not only on the dog but also where it sleeps and in your house (if it is indoor) Normally they recommend a powder dust for this (also sold at most stores)
Call your vet if nothing seems to work!!!

Do thing vampires hate.
Feed him Garlic.
The bad thing about this though is that your dog will smell like garlic.
You can also put Lemon juice on your dog. (Lemon dawn works just the same instead of shampoo use Dawn dish soap)
Or you can just do the old fashion thing and get a flea collar or flea shampoo. But with a dog that is only five pounds I wouldn't recommend that you use any medicated products unless you talk to your vet.
Personally I like the garlic because it also keeps ticks away. :)

Depending on the kind of Dog food you give them that helps.
But what worked for my family was putting Garlic Powder in the dog food. Just a few sprinkles in it each time you feed them.
When A flea bites your dog the Garlic make the blood taste acidic and the Flea's leave.

I use Frontline and will spray the bottom side of my Yorkie with Adams before he goes out if they are bad.
If you eggs in your carpet I don't even wanna scare you. I'll let the exterminator tell you what you will have to do. But, man, once they are in carpet, buckle up, pull the safety bar down, keep you feet and hands inside the car coz it's an E ticket ride, Baby.
The daily maintenance along will wear you out. But, you MUST do what they tell you to do to get rid of the eggs. In and around the house. They survive Nuclear War.
Good luck.
PS- The secret, once getting rid of them, is to never, ever, ever again get them.

I had this problem earlier this month! They're a pain aren't they? Our cat gave them to us. We ended up giving her a flea collar and flea bath using special shampoos that we bought at Zamzows. Then we set off flea bombs (toxic, but necessary) throughout our house. That's worked so far. Good luck!

try rubbing cooked steak all over the animals and the fleas will not like it and leave for someone else's pets.
