I love what the highway patrol does but I also love what the street racers do. I love speed the only place I can truly legally street race on open publice highways is Germany. But lets just say I do it in america even though I have never driven a car on the highway i'm only 15. Lets just say I got arrested for racing I guess I would get chrged for reckless driving and speeding how long would I be in jail for. And no won was in danger because it's like 3 am and only a few trucks on the road but don't even scare the driver. I know you have to admit to any crimes you commited so if I say I got multiple speeding tickets and like 1 or 2 reckless driving charges but werent so big could I still be a highway patrol officer. LOL i'm probably the only person who likes street racing and police.

You are definitely not the only one who likes street racing and police.

I am a 36 year woman, who loves to drive fast. Not quite as fast as I used to go when I was 21; which was a minimum 90 mph on the highway all the time.

And there is nothing more fun than to have a highway all to yourself, late a night. A few months ago, I got off work at midnight and had a long drive home (45 min to 1 hr). I decided to take the new tollway to get home faster. And there was not a single vehicle on the highway. It was ALL MINE!! I loved it!! And needless to say, I got home in less than 30 minutes.

The best part about the experience, was knowing that I was probably being monitored by the police cameras that are positioned every 1 mile marker along the highway. It's a good way to find new recruits, who have skills they require.

I believe that if a person truly wants to be a police officer, a good one anyway, it's important that they also love driving at any rate of speed. If you love it, you be more confident in yourself and therefore a more skillful driver than most.

And yes, I do think you still have a chance to become a cop with those tickets. As long as you are well-suited for the position, and don't get anymore tickets.

Think about it, if you keep getting caught, you must not be too aware of your surroundings. That, to me, is the definition of reckless driving.

Driving fast, and driving reckless are two different things.

If you can't tell, I've been thinking about becoming a police officer.

LOL :-)

Just remember to be mindful of the other drivers safety, as well as, pedestrians.

And always "Buckle Up!"

You say you are 15yoa. Most states require you to be 21 yoa to be a cop. At 15 you are a minor and any arrest record through age 16 should not show up on your record when you get older. As of now with your record I think it would be hard for you to land a job as a officer if you were 21 feeling the Way you do. A chief or other supervisor in law enforcement would be scared that you would drive the patrol car reckless and kill your self or someone else. Get this out of your system NOW before you Hurt some one. Then when you are old enough you shouldn't have a problem getting that job provided you meet all the other requirements. Good luck.

Looks to me like you wont make it to your 16th birthday... and I hate to break this to you but.. you CANT race on the Autobahn or any other highway in Germany... you think the US cops are hardnosed dealing with your kind of stupidity??? the German cops are far stricter.. dont believe me .. just go try it over there, be sure you say plenty of good-byes when you leave!!!

And your wrong again Dude... YOU were in danger with that 3am stunt you pulled.. an hour after all the bars let out.. you should be playing the lottery!!!

If by some fluke you do become a cop.. NO WAY am I letting you drive!!!!

(note to slicktop... we DO have our share of morons dont we!!)

Granted you have not been caught yet but stop and use your brain (if you have one). You are speeding like an idiot down the street and you loose control of your car and hits a tree or pole. You could be killed or seriously injured.
You are speeding down the street and hit another vehicle that is travelling down the street at the normal speed, you kill the occupants of the car. That is murder.

Come on over and drive through my sector like you descibed and hopefully we will meet and discuss this at length. Bring a sack lunch and a pen with plenty of ink. You will also need bail money and cab fare home. I guess it's a little morbid, but as long as there are morons that do this kind of crap, I'll always have a job.

You should be asking yourself if you will be alive to be a police officer. Keep street racing and you will end up FUBAR. Knock it off and stop endangering the lives of everyone on the road for your idiotic enjoyment!

Click below for the definition of FUBAR ... this could be YOU!
