Friends with benifits to me means, that I have a lady friend that I go and spend time with one night a month, we go out to dinner, maybe a few drinks and a movie, than we go back to a hotel room and let the sparks fly, have fun do anything that you both find pleasure in and have a blast doing it. You go home in the morning and live your own life, maybe a text message once and a while to your friend but not to much, remember there is a reason you are looking for just a friend with benefits, don't get to close.

To me friends with benefits means that niether of you will commit to an actual relationship with eachother but you have no problem making out, being touchy feely, or even having sex. And since you aren't committed to each other both often have at least one other person that they are friends with benefits with. I am not too fond of the concept but The Clintons wrote a pretty good song about it that is called Friends with Benefits.

When Alanis Morissette used the term in "Head Over Feet" it implied a relationship that was deeper and stronger than ordinary friendship -- they're best friends, but also lovers, "soulmates", etc. Unfortunately, in popular culture the term now implies a relationship that is less than friendship -- just two people who have sex with no involvement.
