Yes, she does. Children at two are very curious and are trying to learn everything at once. Try to make everything a learning experience and you will be amazed at her ability to retain. They are brilliant at that age, they learn everything and forget nothing! Remember, that as aggravating as it is, questioning everything is a sign of intelligence. So answer away, Grandma, them sit back and accept the compliments on how smart your little angel is. You will be filled with pride knowing that you have contributed to her knowledge.

They do want and need the answers. Prior knowledge of how things work, why they happen, explainations are the single key to a successful reader and learner. Answer her...........she will love the time together with you too!

Yes she really wants and needs an answer. But usually it's OK to make it short and sweet because as soon as you're done she's going to find something else to ask "why". Enjoy :-)

No she just likes the attention she gets when she asks it. It's almost impossible to ignore a question like "why" from anyone, and if you keep answering her she'll keep asking just like the song that never ends...................

You should think back when your children was that age, what did you do. I think you should answer the question honestly but if you don't know tell them. Please be honest to that baby.
