hit the hammer write on the head there, its all about mental controll, teachin you never to question what they say is the truth. 500 yrs ago the church said that the earth IS the center of the universe and that the sun and all planets go around it. 400 yrs ago the church said that the earth IS flat, now we know better. i was suprized when i found out that in 1992 john paul decrede that the chruch was to quick to come to the desicion that galileo was incorrect in his findings about a sun centered system.

I define my religion by reading many things, including the Bible and especially Jesus and many other "great" people tend to think along the same lines as Jesus, but Jesus was one of the originals if not the original. You are a composite of what you accept as truth and who can argue with love, understanding, humility, forgiveness, tolerance and helping others.

I reject most of my training.

I seek no rewards.

I don't always have the strongest of faiths, but I blindly follow nothing, nor do I fear much of anything. I do what I do becasue I beleive it is the right thing to do and I have my shortcomings and I hope that doesn't offend greatly or get in the way of my better efforts.

Love God. Who could worship someone they fear, except a weak person. You only kiss Ceasar's boot because you fear Ceasar's whip. If God tells me to love him or else, he could not be the true God.

There are are many religions out there who proclaim to be of Christan nature, but allot of them have doctrines and ideas that really don't follow God's word and added things that aren't even written in the Holy Bible. A lot of it is dogma and sometimes can be confusing. There is but one God who is the beginning and end of all things in Heaven and earth, who sent his only son into the world for us,he was sent for us sinners to give forgiveness that we may live.Jesus is the way, the truth and life and no one can get to the Father without him.God is not the author of confusion, but the truth.Alot of religions say or do things that are not even written in the Bible, they add to and take away from the Holy Word.In the book of Revelation it tells of the different churches. I myself do not claim any religion, I am a Christain who belieives I was bought and saved by the Blood of Jesus, and he paid the debt for my sins by believing and having faith. We are all sinners and by the loving Grace of God I am saved.

I define religion as having a spiritual belief in something or someone. My personal belief is in GOD, and I believe because it brings me comfort to know that there is a higher power watching over us, don't get me wrong, I have had times in my life where my faith was tested, but I believe it is at that point that the devil is trying to take us away from our God. I do not however believe in organized religion per say, for example I don't think you have to go to church to believe in GOD, or to commune with him, I think you just have to believe, and that you can speak to the LORD in your own way. Again, this is just my personal opinion, and may not hold true for others so I hope I have not offended any ones method of religion.

1.) agree
2.) agree
3.) agree/disagree.... no one should follow out of fear.
4.) agree/disagree.... i do not believe God would punish you for that, if you are a good person in spite of it.

i believe just because i believe. that's what faith is. i believe in God just like i believe that the sky is blue and the earth is round.

None of the above. I follow my beliefs because I choose too, not because a deity demands it. It feels right for me. Each person has to choose their own path, and should leave others to theirs.
