Or are you just generalizing about an entire people? I've heard a lot of people saying they do not like a certain religion. I can't honestly see a reason why. Shouldn't we all try to accept each other?

Almost all religions have at their basic heart a path (some more guided than others) to find the inner silence, and connectedness to something larger than the Self. Even atheists look for their own form of inner and outer peace. We all must ultimately wake up with ourselves every day and face ourselves in the mirror, and being one religion over another does not make this task any easier!

With this in mind, how I hate anyone else's chosen path to true communion with the inner spirit? I can, and do condemn ACTIONS done in "the name of religion", but do not condemn the religion itself, nor hate the person. I might call them a stupid jacka$$, but we all have distorted beliefs that are true to us. Word of thumb- any action that maliciously or ignorantly devastates another human being in some way (and this list includes such items as misuse of resources, keeping populations from necessities for life, and alienating classes of people you consider "sub-human"; and not just outright acts like murder) is not good for the soul of the person performing the act. If a religious leader, or any leader, condones such acts, it is not an act in accordance with either the wish of a higher power, nor common sense.

That would be nice. But religions don't accept people outside their religion. That's why you get a lot of people expressing "hate" for "a certain religion." Some people in a religion will say things about people that are, to say the least, unaccepting. Especially about people of some other religion. Obviously, religions, with their pious platitudes, are not going to bring about unity, brotherhood, and peace.

Most people who claim that they dislike or hate a religion do so because they judge the entire religion based on what a few people have done.

I don't judge Christianity for the KKK or the Nazis. So why do most Christians judge me for being Muslim?

I don't hate I love. Melanie there is no such thing as religion, man made that word up. Did I mention you have the same name as mine. Good 2 go girl. I disagree with may religions because they don't put God first. For example Hindus worship idols and the Lord said; thou shalt not worship idols. Did I answer your question.

No HATE here!
Everyone has free choice-- with the exception of the few who must be killed for even looking at another religion. (Guess who)

We can accept each other without believing that many roads still lead to Eternity!

Hate is a strong word, I'd say I find some distasteful and some meddling and fanatical. I resent some trying to turn the USA into a theocracy and will oppose any form of it as long as I live.

The only religion I hate is the one that values things above people.

No. If someone doesn't agree with a certain religion's belief, they should still respect it.

No, the religion is not the problem. Religions fanatics makes me mad.
