"the bible is 1st century symbolic literature written by people writing nothing other than that" Umm, have you actually ever read the history of the Bible? No, it is not 1st century, no it is not symbolic literature.
"The bible has many flaws - Including the bigotry towards homosexuals" No, it has no flaws, nor is it bigoted against homosexuals. Again, have you ever actually read the thing?
"The bible teaches nothing but bigotry." You speak falsely. The bible indeed teaches many more things than bigotry. It teaches self-control, it teaches good moral conduct, it teaches us the history of a people loved by God, but very very flawed. Pretty much anything you need to know about how to live your life can be found within it's pages.
"And PLEASE DO NOT speak of the bible as though it was fact because it is NOT!!!" Yes, I will speak of the bible as though it was fact, because it is a fact, there is a bible, and it is full of facts.

Can any human with a life span of a few decades personally reach all mankind and serve as a channel of communication from God? No. But a permanent written record can. Therefore, would it not be appropriate that the revelation from God be made available in the form of a book? One of the ancient books claiming inspiration by God is the Bible. “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness,” states one of its writers. (2 Timothy 3:16) Let us take a closer look at the Bible and see if it is the source of true teachings.
If you want to know the truth about the Bibles teachings read the rest of this article right here. http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2005/7/15/article_02.htm

You asked why I believe in the Bible, but then say to not consider it as fact. Huh? If I believe it, then I clearly also consider it as fact.
Your question, with this restriction, is contradictory.
Your premise that any moral standard is bigotry (or a "flaw"), is also false. What you are saying is that I have no right to have an opinion or social standard that disagrees with yours (otherwise you ridicule my beliefs, and it doing so, you show the same bigotry you condemn).
What if someone wanted to practice cannabilism? Heck, dead flesh is dead flesh, so what would it matter if it was human? Why let the meat go to waste? Offended by this? Don't think this is right? Perhaps you have a "moral" standard too?
There must be "social" rules - else it would be every man/woman for themselves in violent contention for limited food and resources, as wild animals.
I believe that Mankind is superior to the animals. We don't have to act like them, but can order a society better than theirs. The Bible provides such a standard. You don't have to like it. You don't have to agree with me. But just as you believe that your standards are the best, I also have the right to believe that mine are the best too. Fair is fair. :)

A few of the Scientific Facts in the Bible that Biblical era people wouldn't know:
The earth is spherical
"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth" Isa 40:22
The earth is suspended in space over nothing
"he suspends the earth over nothing." Job 26:7
That doesen't even mention the many Biblical prophesies fulfilled in Jesus' life and death. It is said that if you just took about 10 of these prophesies, the probability of one man fulfilling them would be the same as filling the state of Texas in silver dollars, marking one and sending a blind person to find the marked dollar.
You seem to have only found one "flaw", bigotry, but how can a person be a bigot when he follows Jesus' teaching, "Love your enemies"?(Matthew 5:44)

For me the bible is fact. It teaches that being gay is a sin. No one should look down on a gay, because we all haved sined. Yet at the same time, it is a unnatural thing. The bible is more accounts of actual events and real teachings. The bible held true then, and it does now.

I agree that no one should be "looked down upon" for anything. Jesus taught that we are all equally sinful, so that no on has the right to assume that he is better than anyone else. The following quote sums it up for me:
"To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
~Luke 18:9-14 [NIV translation]
It sounds like your objections to the Bible are emotional rather than factual. Just because the Bible tells us things about ourselves that we might not want to hear does not make it false. Life is full of inconvenient and awkward truths that we all have to deal with.

because they were raised since birth to accept the bible as true.
because some people dont know anything else besides the bible. I bet if some of them knew about the tao te ching or bhagvhad gita they might read it and realize that theres no reason to hate people of other beliefs.
