My mom was 28, I was the 4th born of 5.
I had my first son when I was 19, but I already had an associate's degree in commercial art by then, I graduated from high school when I was 17.
Most 17 year olds today have the mentality and responsibility of a 10 year old. In WWII, 25% of the men fighting were 17, and some even younger who lied just to get in the Army!

My mom was 38 when she had me and I get some OMG about that too. I think it's kind of scarry having a baby very young, or even a little older, but i'm really proud of and grateful to your mom for embracing the gift that life brought her and letting you grow up to be the special person that you are.

my mom was 24 and married and still is married to my dad. i am now 41(smile)
17 is bad in this day in time. because i doubt if she was married. and she probaly dropped out of high school. you see kiddo back in the days 1920 people fell in love got married the man took care of the household etc. housewives was the thing then. now we women can become the president of the us. so why get pregnant by a thug because most decent men nowadays don't get girls pregnant. they go to college and meet a nice educated women and marry them. if you notice in this modern day and age you have more poor people than back in the days when times were really hard. think about it.
