She thinks of you as a friend. It is possible that she likes you, and is too afraid to hug you, but it is most likely that she thinks of you as a friend. If a girl likes a boy, she gets all flirty around him and she hugs him when she sees him. Hope that helps.

That's weird.... I have no idea who does that AFTER the first time they have met someone....
Maybe joke about it next time you see her... Don't make her feel awkward, just casually make a comment about her shaking your hand.... At least then you may have a good answer...

she is probably not comfortable doing what she wants to you, probably wants to kiss you. if she were just a friend, she would most likely hug you. someone who is trying to seem uninterested will revert even farther.
