The state of Florida does not have a 3 day right of rescission except on mortgages. If you were charged the $3000 over the quoted price, they should fix that. If you are saying you found the value of the vehicle to be less than what you paid after the purchase, there is not much you can do. You signed a contract and if returned to the dealer, it may and can be reported as a voluntary repossession. You are best to live with it and learn to check your homework so to speak before making a major purchasing.

Laws differ from state to state. If you've actually got a quote for the lower price, if go back to the dealership within 3 days they'll probably meet the lower price. Do not accept the dealer's word as final if they give you trouble, however. Contact the Consumer Affairs Division or Attorney General's office in your state for clarification of the law and your rights.

Normally, with large priced items, you have a 3 day grace period where you can return it. It is called Buyers Remorse law. They cannot hold it against you whatsoever, and they should simply cancel the loan out. if I were you, when you return the car, make sure you get papers saying you returned it, and call the loan company yourself to tell them. Be ready to make copies of your papers to send them. Do not just wait until you get a statement or coupon book from them and just assume it is taken care of. After all, the loan company is the one who has the authority to report to the credit agencies.

It shouldn't but be careful... if you return it now since it has been only a day you might be OK... i know someone that returned a car and was still liable for the difference in the amount when the car was resold... might want to ask....
