You answered you question in your question... because they are young and immature. A relationship built on trust and respect is not possessive or unwilling to trust. My guess is they married too soon, or should not be married to each other.

young couples have learned not to trust easily and not to let go easily. its all in the pictures adults send them and media. i might say that because i am a young person, to you at least, and i am in a relationship but i want to end it. i know how it feels though. and young couples don't want to be hurt. i guess you could say that we are insecure as a group and we really don't know HOW to not be possessive or trusting. YET.

because they're not experienced enough (as an individual or a couple) to have that kind of trust. They're just going by all these stories of cheating and things that they hear, and they're very insecure. I would criticize them, but I realize that they just don't know any better.

I think it's because they jump into relationships before they really know each other. I think they do it for the sex and to be a couple with somebody. They've never learned that it's OK to be by yourself. Being possessive and untrusting isn't really a relationship.

Nowaday generation of kids are very different than when I was a kid. Way too much freedom with their cell phones, fancy cars, their tongues and lack of parenting I would imagine. Lack of alot of good qualities perhaps but not lack of whatever they want they get sort of thing.

Cause they're young and not fully experienced. They're still dealing with insecurities even if they don't want to admit it.
