I lost two expensive and nice dresses while travelling cross-country. Who would I contact if airports and hotels are involved? One of the dresses my late husband gave me shortly before he passed away.

wel first off, im sorry about your husband. well call both the hotel and airlines and try to track down both of the dresses. tell them your story about your late husband giving them too you and how they are really sentimental to you and everything. that kind of urges them to put sum effort into looking for them. try tracing them down through the airport and hotel. good luck however!!!. If you don't know exactly where the loss occured, you will have to contact each place you were and leave a message. Airports usually have lost and found departments. Hotels will hold onto lost items for a short while. Leave your name and number everywhere and hopefully someone will call back to say your dresses have been found.

My Irish-Catholioc grandmother would tell you to "pray to St Anthony!!" Now normally I ignore her religious advice, but recently I did 'pray' to him and FOUND my lost glasses... at the town pool in a locker. BIzarre, I know!!!
Can't hurt to try - as well as calling around.
GOOD LUCK

Go back to the last place you saw them....then shop at the goodwill store....they are probably right there on the rack.
