oh idk maybe because the police force isn't trained, the govenment doesn't control Baghdad, the government doesn't know what they are doing, and we are worried about a dictator taking over in the confusion...when you say they have a government formed you mean they have the beginnings of a government formed. If we leave right now, it would be like asking a 6 month old to go out and get a job, earn money, buy a house and support a family all by themself.
good try though.

Because Bush still hasn't secured the oil, and those Iraqi's keep fighting to keep what legally belongs to them.
Americans are the only ones who believe they're in Iraq to bring freedom. Infact, we can see exactly what they brought to Iraq, and it's disgusting.
The Iraqis would prefer the option of civil war to having a pack of gun-toting cowardly, gutless, murderous, craven rodents fouling and putrifying their country - who wouldn't, just to get rid of them.
The rest of the world knows the truth now, the lies, the dirty deeds against the innocent.... it's only America that's catching up, but Bush is still in denial, like a few Americans that follow him.
Better late than never, and there's still some time left to ask forgiveness.
Or will the US marines just carry on with the rape and murder of some more unarmed Iraqi women and children...
because it's much safer than fighting the Iraqi men.
Bush Snr cut and ran from Kuwait in the 90's and cost tens of thousands of innocent lives then. Why shouldn't his loser of a son do the same as the old man???
Same foul genes, same foul deeds.

Because they need us to.
They may have elected a government but they still do not have a functioning Army or Police force, which is our fault so we need to re-build that before we come home.
Plus the Iraqi government wants us to stay until the job is done.
I see the site is still full of deluded kids who think that America gets its oil from the middle east though!! You really need to get your education system sorted out over there.

Yes I'm with the other guy on this one. It would be very dumb to leave now. They are just now forming their government. Everything isn't together yet and they need more help. If we leave now everything else would have been for nothing. Everything we were trying to do over there would go down the drain and than thats when u can say lives were wasted. Until everything is in full effect we really donty need to leave yet. Thats just me.

Because the government is keeping them there to make sure nothing is going to happen although the government has formed but just to be safe and to have us there so that the USA is actually going to believe that all of us are getting along

Baby, I think some of the folks in Washington are scratching their heads over that very same thing. In my opinion, our sailors and soldiers need to come back home and take care of home. But unfortunately, the political machine keeps on spewing out a whole bunch of garbage and our troops and innocent Iraqis are dying faster than anyone can keep up with. I support our troops, but the time has come for them to come home. Enough is enough!

In order for democracy to take root, the Iraqi government needs to have time to overcome doubts among the people.
If you want to cut and run, you obviously don't believe in freedom and democracy for people outside the US.
Please move to North Korea where the government agrees with you.

Because Dick Cheney's Halliburton oil company hasn't stolen enough oil. Also Cheney has investments to a company who got a no bid firefighting contract. If we leave now Bush and Cheney will lose millions. Of course alot of other nutcase republicans and bonehead conservatives are probable investing in Iraq as we speak. They don't mind investing in Iraq, as long as they don't have to fight in it.

We need to secure the government to make sure it doesn't get overthrown. We can't listen to a bunch of idiotic people who can't think for themselves. We're already in the war so we have to finish it or else all the work our soldiers died for would have gone to waste. Why don't people think logically and not like a liberal.
