I've never heard that before...but there might be...we have so many laws...

Wouldn't make any sense though....unless hangovers kept people from voting....

There is no law against selling alcohol the day before the election. However, there is a law, in most states, that bars and liqour stores be closed during the hours the polls are open.

I know of no such law however there is a law where you cannot serve alcohol within a certain distance of the voting boothes. That was from the days when candidates use to get voters drunk and send them in to vote for them. That was concidered bad at some point.

Each state has different laws concerning alcohol and voting boothes though.
