I have also heard some of the old forms were sent back to request additional info. Are they asking us to submit criminal record check now ? Or will USCIS do criminal record check for us ??

When you go for you interview make sure you bring as much evidence of relationship as you can . Plane tickets, Itineraries, Letters from American citizens (notarized) about you two being together and how long.
When I went with my wife I brought Pictures of us on different vacations. Holidays when i visited her.
When he gets here after you get married file for Green Card withing 90 days or this will create major delays.

wow i neverheard of that i thought you can only petition direct relatives ( husband/wife, parents, brother/sister) only.
but all in all hiring anattorney is a must!!
