None of my friends have this problem that I know of but I don't want to go to the doctor for nothing. I get the pains probably 9 or 10 times a month, but unfornutately I haven't really been keeping count. Most of the time, I get these pains that make my stomach feel like it's just burning (I was told this isn't indigestion...but I'm not so sure?) when I eat pizza after 5 pm or so, or after I eat anything spicy. Also, sometimes the pain comes when I eat something sweet and I haven't eaten any "real" food for a while. Or sometimes it comes after eating just a regular meal. The burning is pretty bad. I just stop what I'm doing and go and lie down, although that doesn't help, it just makes it feel a tad bit better. And a lot of times, drinking milk helps the pain go away but still, this can't be normal, can it? Do you know what it could be and what might be done to treat it? Thanks for your answer.

I have this feeling sometimes.
It is most likely indigestion. My dad and I suffer from this problem after eating certain types of food, especially Mexican, because of the spices and everything.
Tell your mum and dad, and keep a kind of food diary and write down everything that you eat. Try and identify the food that makes you feel this way.
It may be 'just' indigestion, but make sure you tell your parents. You should probably also see a doctor about it if you are sure that it is not indigestion.

Indigestion usually feels like sharp pains that go around the stomach and around the heart. It is usually caused by not chewing your food, so it can't be digested.

There are lollies that you can have that soothe this problem like Quick Eze and stuff.

Good luck, and I am not a professional, so do not trust that every thing here is completely true.
See a doctor if symptoms persist, or even if it doesn't.

After eating "certain" foods? .... like, now thats a spicy meatball
I know . I get that way too after a good hot n spicy chili, good lord even my rectum feels like it's on fire then. geez

NM stop scaring the poor kid. Ulcers at that age? Puhlease
Don't let her scare you ammie. She doesn't know what she's talking about. I hope that your smart enough to know that your stomach can't spill into your guts, they're the same thing. It is the spicy food that is affecting you and like michelle said acid reflux or gird, could be the problem, lay off the spicy food and go see a doctor, In the meantime try tums or maalox, rolaids are useless.
yeah peptos good too

Have you tried antacids (Maalox, Tums)? If it is indigestion or heartburn, it should help. If not, taking 1 or 2 won't hurt. Sorry, but you may have to see a doctor. Anything that hurts bad enough for you to stop everything else you're doing is serious. Especially if your 15, you should talk to your doctor about this.

Everyone has foods that don't agree with them. I keep away from various peppers (but not all). Sometimes it is the grease (pork is particularly hard for me to digest). Sometimes too much milk or related will be a problem, but not always. You might have an alergy to gluten (bread) or peanuts, or pistachios, or hazelnuts, these are common foods that people often have allergies to. Watch your food combinations for patterns. We all are different and you have to respect what works, or doesn't, for you. Good luck.

You might have a 'sulfur' allergy or ' sodium ' allergy . You can try chewing on fresh fennel seeds. But I recommend you see a doctor.

It is heartburn. Stay away from spicy or really greasy food. Drink milk or take pepto bismol or another similar product; and dont worry, it is totally normal. Some people just have a sensitivity to these things.

Sounds like you have an ulcer darling. I had one and its easy to heal and be taken care of. Go to your doctor immediately before it become ruptured and spills the contents of your stomach into your gut and kill you. Some young people also have stomach cancer. Go to the doctor.
