Well i believe you can still be friends with a ex but not all the time is it just friends usually not but it takes a lot of trust with this and knowing your partner if you don't have trust you don't have a relationship if you feel there's some thing going on between them besides just a friend there probably is if you are being left out of the picture.

hey, if your not married, then don't sweat it. you date others too!! if you are only teens then definitely don't sweat it! you have your whole lives ahead of you to find the one person too stay with. right now have fun, and don't be so uptight. don't wait around for him...go out and have fun. if he/she wants to go out with you again in the future, do it. unless they treated you bad. when you are dating someone you have to be up front with them on how monogamous you would like the relationship to be. you can't just expect the other to automatically assume that you want him/her to only want you. it's not fair. so chill out. if you want to be in a monogamous relationship... get married!

I have tried it, and it does not work for many reasons. For one, the past never dies, second, the boundaries are no longer clear, and also, it does not bode well for your next relationship. People are insecure about it.
