Start buying healthier foods, if all she can eat are fruits and vegies then theres nothing wrong with eating at night. Thats the easy answer. The reality is it has to be her who decides to lose the weight, but it makes things much easier if everyone else in her life is willing to make lifestyle changes too and encourage her to join them. Suggest more family outings that have to do with exercise like walks, hikes, weekend bike rides. Stock the fridge with water, milk and healthy juice instead of soda. Little things like that. If she is an emotional eater it wont help. I am an emotional eater and I have to stop are really think if i am eating because I am hungry or for something else. I put on a lot of weight with my child and have only got half of it off. If she is eating because of emotional reasons then she should probably see someone to get help. Though bringing it up to her probably won't be easy. I realized the problem for myself. I am sure i wouldn't have took to it kindly if someone brought the issue up to me.

Be supportive and loving. Join her in a lifestyle of healthy eating and excersise. Remember all the things you love about her besides the way she looks. Having a baby is hard on the body, give her time.

She should limit her calories. Maybe replace a meal with 2 serving of fruit. Has there been any weight loss?
She should continue jogging and don't forget to drink plenty of fluids.

She should try to not eat after 7 pm. I know this is easier said than done : (
If she is working out and not losing weight she is probably eating too much sugar. Does she drink sodas? If she does she should cut back and try drinking water with meals.

Tell her to stop eating so much. Some say exercise increases your appetite. Best thing is to eat more vegetables and less fat. Make her aware of the many health risks involved in being overweight.

stop buying junk food. IF she raids the fridge and only finds healthy stuff, she'll either eat that or give up the habit. But, she'll be grumpy about it.
