I think its fine for short destinations...it "just gets you there", no frills......kinda like a cab!

You should watch the program "Airline" on A&E. It's based on Southwest Airlines hub in Chicago, it's pretty good! And I think Southwest is a great airline.

I won't fly with them. I find their flight attendants to be inattentive and sometimes even rude, and I hate not having a pre-assigned seat. I don't like the cattle-call atmosphere. I find boarding a Southwest plane to be pretty painful without the assigned seats; people can't make their minds up quickly or find they've gotten on the plane too late to get 3 seats together or what-not, and then a traffic jam happens. I prefer to pay the extra $20 for a more professional, more organized flight.

I really like Southwest, the flight attendants are so friendly!!!! The prices are great, and they fly to a lot of places.

The only things that stinks, is that my rapid rewards flights (free tickets for frequent flying) expire after only 1 year.....I wish they would be valid for at least 2 years, since I never have the time to use them. =(

I find them no different then the rest of the US airlines for the most part, other then they generally almost always have the highest fares in the markets I fly the most.

i think they are a good airline to fly to short destinations. it is a little akward without pre-assigned seats but wutever (they are trying assigned seats from san diego for a lil bit). but overall, they have good prices most of the time. (leaving from some airports, jetblue can beat southwest prices)

I adore this airline. It's the airline my handsome lover uses when he flies into town to see me.

Oh please... the worst. I've referred to air travel as nothing more than a bus with wings. Southwest is more like the cattle car.

Awesome - and they have a great frequent traveller program, as well - you can actually earn and use free flights with them as opposed to the "big boys!"
