maybe you cat doesn't like you. just kidding. Perhaps it is getting into something that it shouldn't and it is giving his tongue a bad taste. And he could just be playing with you. If you vet "thinks" it indicataes something is wrong, it's time to get a new vet that knows what he/she is doing. Good luck

Sometimes kittens and adult cats stick there tounge out like a dog b/c they are hot but a cat isnt using its tongue for a sweat gland! It usually indicates they are thirsty and sometimes it can be the brand of food. If it is a kitten does he have enough nutrients ? Some cat food can be too rich for young cats like the can kind... and if hes not getting enouch vitamins he could get sick. like if this is the case and you notice diariah they can get hymroids..In any case get a second opinon from a different vet. And also it could be nothing to worry about some cats just do this.

My cat used to do that all the time, He'd just sit around with his tounge out. He's fine now, with no vet help. But, if your vet has seen this behavior, and thinks there might be something wrong, get it checked out. Better safe then sorry, you know.

There isnt anything wrong. My cat would always do that and he was perfectly healthy. Dogs do it too. They just forget they have their tounges out or something. They only have so big of a brian.

It could be he was weaned to early, (taken away from his mom) This and sucking on blankets and stuff is a sign of that. How old is he? It is like you sucking your thumb.it is soothing to him. Try giving him a large stuffed toy. and see if he snuggles up to it.and he may nurse on it. If so he should grow out of it.Just give him lots of attention and love.
