if you can find an earplug that fits and you can get her to leave them in it is the best thing to do however most small children refuse to leave things in their ears much like with barettes in their hair we took my daughter who was about that age last year and she was mortified and we ended up having to leave she was so scared
as with all loud noises her ears need to be protected or loss can occur but in the end only you know what is right for your child

I think that is a great idea. I wish someone had suggested that when I first took my daughter to see fireworks. It would definitely protect his ears from the really loud booms. Also, it might keep him from getting nervous by the loud ones. My daughter was nervous at first and cried a little, but once she saw how pretty they were, she calmed down, the really loud ones still scared her though. The ear plugs would give a good buffer for your son and may help him enjoy the fireworks more. Good luck!

I think your hands would probably do the job - she or he will probably try to take them out the minuete you put them in. What I've done w/ all 3 of my kids was hold them in my arms and say "look twinkle twinkle little star" and I clapped and tried to show them how unscared I was and how happy fireworks made me and it seemed that when they saw how excited I was they were excited too. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and Happy 4th!

the noise from the fire works can damage her ears but may not. the best thing to do is ask your local pharmacy for advice, even they are not doctors they know how young of a child can wear ear plugs.

It's a good idea. The loud noises can prove to be very frightening to her and her ears may be very sensitive too. :) I hope she enjoys them. I am sure she will. I hope you both have a safe and happy 4th of July. :)

In my opinion it won't hurt to have them on hand especially if your up close. also for the fact that the loudness might scare her. But all in all you will figure something out

i would bring them anyways, she may be scared, she may not be...it's just like asking should she wear pants or shorts...lol
my kids were scared at first, but then they got used to it, and loved it so much, they didn't wanna leave when it was all over.
