We subsidize most of the cost of services for the poor like education and health care even when the poor pay all applicable taxes. That is why we like other countries limit the amount of poor we let come. Illegals come above this amount, not just in the hundreds or thousands, but in the millions. This severely strains our schools and health care systems particularly in states where illegal immigrants concentrate. Meanwhile, we are footing the bill so our children can have a substandard education and so that our elderly can have substandard health care.

Well you could find many detriments-health and medicine, schools, programs and everything above-too much to list.
If you are looking for contributions-harder-Maybe a beginning of torrence for the people-it begins somewhere. Some cultural changes not sure where.. A new look for Art in museums and Art shows. New Food styles like the tortilla-Americans like it there are others foods too. Music. Customs-certain ways they celebrate-who doesn't know what a piñatas are.
The web will offer you a lot of information-look for key words.
Even the history of where they are from might help.
Best Wishes on your report-hopefully I gave one good answer for you.

Well they provide a way for employers to pay less for labor. Don't be fooled by this 'they do the jobs americans don't want' crap.
They take my construction jobs, and drive down wages. Shame on the unions for using them.
Also, in California, they drive up the costs of :groceries(by increasing sales volume, and stealing shopping carts), burning more gas(they really like gas guzzling suvs); they add to traffic congestion(I would not have known how much until they stayed home from work May 1).
Generally they reduce the quality of my life, as neighbors they have endless parties, mow the lawn with their car stereo louder that the mower(boom, boom boom boom), leave trach on the street for me to pick up, and generally seem to be oblivious to the cause and effect of their actions.
But what really got my goat was when one of them had the gall to say about cali, "we're taking it back".
If you gave them Ca. and Az., and even left the infrastructure intact, within 3 years they would have run it all into the ground.
Any doubts? remember when they "nationalized" (stole US Co.s Investments),the oil industry in Mexico? LOok at the shambles it is in. No doubt that their complete lack of concern for their own homes translates into a larger lack of concern for their own country.
That is why they are here deluding themselves that the US would collapse without their "contribution". What a joke! Hey Mexicans! If you can't fix Mexico, what platform do you have to tell the US what it needs to fix? You have got to be more self deluded that any Islamic fool with a bomb around his belly.
Shut up and go home. We do not need you here. Racists.

Well the only contribution they give is to the employers of them. The employers get to use cheap labor with no tax repercussion as do the illegals. And on top of that they make the legal employees such as myself pay higher taxes to make up for the ones who don't wile i have to furnish my own insurance wile the illegals get government help with health care and food stamps. so now you tell me what are some of the pros and cons of illegals.

Contribution: these people work cheap, so prices of produce/clothing is kept down more that hiring citizens who also require insurance, workman's comp, etc.
Detriment: the money's they earn are not spent here in the US, which negates our economic system in a large way. We (citizens) make & spend our money here to keep the circle of economics in motion.
There are others, which I'm sure you'll see here, but here's one point each from me.LOL
