you must be curious about God and who He is or you wouldn't be on here.

let me correct myself. yes, atheism is a religion. i was just wondering, if they "know" God doesn't exist then why are they asking about Him. could it be that God is convicting their hearts and they know He does exist, but are too afraid to admit it?

Atheist is simply a term for those that don't believe in God. Many times they simply want to educated religious people on why they don't believe in God. This doesn't mean they are curious about God, this means they care about the beliefs of other people.

I've read books on Judism, Islam, and Christianity... I simply like to learn about the beliefs of others. Its like a good book or story, many times with good stories that you can take with you or use to better understand your fellow man. I've read every story I can get my hands on about the Greek and Roman Gods, yet I think we can agree that they are ones none of us worship or are curious about worshiping.

Just like most Christians (and other religions) enjoy talking about their beliefs of "why we are here" or "purpose in life" Atheists are no different. The label "Christian" to an Athiest is just a label because to them Christ was just a man. Period. The label of Agnostic is just a label too because they are just men/women too.

there are other Gods than your fake god
atheist believe in no God

there are billions of people who believe in Gods ,they just dont happen to be Jehova ,or Allah who was an Anunaki who came here 300.000 years ago and created the Adams race by genetic engineering and cloning,to mine gold for them ,.He was known as the Creator but he was not a God
but every body knows that already ,if they are beyond the illuminaties brainwashings

in reality it is you who are the Atheist for believing in a false God an Anunaki ,
and betraying the reaL Gods
Gaia or baal that directly affect all life on this planet
All life and all of lifes needs comes from Gaia ,and nothing can live with out the rays of the Sun

these are real things where we live and what we see.
not some vagues imagenings that amounts to the story of Jehova

and i am never in the religious section .
you are not aware perhaps that a lot of questions pass the all catagories list ,which has questions from all over .not in a specific catagory

a lot of reasons:

my girlfriend is christian, i like to learn more.
i don't believe anybody has the absolute truth, neither i or you. but i search for truth.
fundamentalist christians attack homosexuality, my best friends are gay, i have the feeling that the fundamentalist christians need to be educated.

maybe my little atheist bible will help:

"I do not drive too fast, even if i don't agree with the rules. I give too much change back to the girl behind the counter in the supermarket. When i find a wallet on the street, i return it to the owner without expecting a reward ,because the relief on your face is worth more to me than money. In a bar i'll talk to you, when you are standing alone. I will never jugde or disrespect you on your looks, not even on your charactre.

And i do that without any God telling me to do that

I give to charity, i seperate my garbage for a better environment. I rather put on an extra sweater, than to put up the heater. I never throw my chewing-gum on the street. Every week i buy the paper from a homeless person. I will help and support you if you're attacked by drunken guys on the street, i'll avoid the fight, but i'll never leave you alone. I help the old lady cross the street, i'll bring the crying lost little girl back to her mother.

And i do that without any God telling me to do that

I know no rules, except my own thoughts. After thinking everything through, i have to conclude that there must be 'something' to make this all happen. I've looked around and inspite of all the misery, the poorness, the crime, the hate, i don't see humans as sinners, but as people with choices. I don't think that i will be lost if i do not meditate on a mountain or pray under a cross. I don't even believe that the guy who blows himself up between a group of schoolkids will burn eternally.

And i think that without any God telling me to think that

Every person has something good inside. Sometimes on the surface, sometimes deep hidden inside. I hope that the God they all talk about, is not the guy with the beard sitting on a cloud. The God i have faith in, is just a metaphore. A feeling. A sence of all the goodness inside the people. Nothing more than that. And more clear: nothing less than that. The goodness in our heart is the most important thing we have. My God has an extra 'O'...Good.

And i am good, without any God telling me that

Good has no need for symbols. No cross, no boring books, no big fat guy, no cow, no buildings with colored glass windows. Good is everywhere and is eternal. There is no need to pray for something good, because it will always be there. There is also no need to pray to end something bad, because the bad will also always be there. Sure there are bad people. These people are to dumb to understand the good. Goodness, kindness can relieve you. Badness only creates more badness. We can never beat the badness. A bad guy with a gun can only be beaten by a good guy with a gun. But a good guy doesn't use a gun.

And even if the Good will always loose, I'll always try to be Good.

Everything has its time, and its place. In our sadness, in our anger, in our happyness, in our love we can see our humanity. These things make us to be the people we are, they shape us, they teach us, they make us really feel. And in every deep misery, there is always a hidden hope, cause we all know anything can always be done differently. This earth is our playground, to feel, to laugh, to cry, to love and to live.

And i live. And that's good."

I am not an atheist, I am an agnostic who has a deep interest in learning about religion. Maybe someday I will see the same thing that Christians see, maybe not. I think, if there is a God, he/she would want us to be open-minded. How else would we be able to hear what he/she has to tell us? Getting stuck on the Bible, to me, is like not wanting to leave kindergarten. If there is a God, he/she is much greater than Christians give him/her or themselves credit for. But, I didn't come here to poke fun or to berate Christians. In fact, I brought a gift...

Correction, atheism is a religion. I think they are scared that they are wrong about the Evolution theories they bought into and invested hope in. So they go online to disrespect other religions because thats all they got.

considering the fact that whilst do Christians have such happy lives???????????? i replaced right into a believer for some years and that i observed a brilliant number of happy mask worn via an incredible many wounded, depressing human beings all claiming to have the peace that passes all know-how. could Jesus approve of you calling human beings you have faith he died for "creatures?" i'm now an agnostic and characteristic greater peace than I ever knew as a Christian. And why are not YOU at artwork?

well technically pure atheists are people who believe that there is no God. that's an actual belief that correlates to religions. someone who doesn't believe in God could be someone who has never heard of God, for instance, and therefore had no religious belief concerning God--these aren't really atheists in the pure sense. so basically atheists are defending their beliefs just as much as theists like us defend ours. the hero strikes again!

This ignorant question is asked on here at least fifty times a day. Being agnostic or atheist does not disqualify someone from having an interest in theology.

Why do people keep asking this question? Can't you just go look at the five million answers that have already been given to this question? Not believing in anything is still a belief......

It's all about what interests you, sometimes its relgion even if your not a believer.
