My ex gf recently sent me emails that she missed me and I was the best she ever had. We decided to see each other. But I also told her tonight that she had to make up her mind. No more on again off again BS. Life is too short for indecision and I wanted an answer. Love me or let it go. No half measures, all or nothing. Was I right to place a stipulation so strongly upon her?

Yes you were right . If you let her play games with you ,she will continue to play them . Also : Don't let anyone walk all over you ,they'll never respect you . Stick to your guns . don't worry if she doesn't come back because she'll just be clearing the path for someone who knows how special you are and will love you true.

First, Congratulations on being so up front with her. Think what a better place the world would be if people were that direct with people they really cared about. You probably have feelings for her or you wouldn't want to set boundaries to avoid the wishy-washies. All you have done is to save yourself loads of time while whomever makes up her mind. I think this is called "Calling a spade a spade." Some people confuse being messed up and vague with being alluring and romantic, but guys really don't like being strung out indefinitely while what's her name makes up her mind to be direct or round-about with you. Is it too much to ask for a woman to give you clear signals? No. Is it too much to ask for anyone to be straightforward when it's your heart and feelings we're probably talking about here, too? No. Here is another aspect of it: if she is having wiggily-wobblies deciding about really being with you or not, how is she going to handle other questions later on in life? Fear to commit. Fear of taking a stand. Fear of responsibility. How well does she know you, anyway? Doesn't she know how you feel about all this already? All you did was what we call "put your foot down." You have saved yourself a godforsaken conundrum of hesitation and avoidance patterns, plus are you or aren't yous and will she or won't she join the dance. I heartily congratulate you for making it clear who you are by making it clear about what you expect. If you have asked too much of her, then you will probably be wise to determine this quickly so you can get back to living your life. I hope you will hold your ground. A lot of guys just don't know what their ground is yet, and so they get walked all over and live in indecision and doubt all the time. I hope you will also have a decent summer, free of vacillation and regret, quandaries and promises, &c. The bery best to you with a hearty handshake from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A.

YES you were right. you deserve the black and white. good or bad. now or never. you don't deserve an on again off again relationship. you're right. life on this earth IS too short for that crap. if she says she doesn't know...or goes with a yea...then you end up off again...just leave. find someone who is on the whole time with ya.
