That is so sad that you would even feel the need to ask this question. I lost a family member to suicide and it literally tore our family to pieces. Suicide is never the answer. You matter more than you think and you must stay on medications and get counseling. Whenever you feel this way you must talk about it to someone and tell them exactly what you are feeling. Please talk to someone about this right away.

Yes, I tried it several times. I was seriously depressed, my father had just died very suddenly and I had fought depression/ansiety for a number of years. I took an overdose of my meds each time and ended up hospitalized. I spent years in different forms of therapy and after the death of my mom, things got as bad as they could get and I managed to make it through without an attempt. I have a great support system, a great doctor and I am happy to say that life is good for me. No meds now, just exercise and the love of my family gets me through things. That doesn't minimize the seriousness of it all.....it just shows what I would be missing if I had died. Suicide is a long term fix for a short term problem........such a true statement. Life is life and you should learn to love yourself and enjoy it. If I can do it, you can........

Why are you asking...seriously?
Yes I have.
On one occasion, I mixed all the cooking alcohols (as we are teetotalers here), into a 16oz. glass. I was home alone and figured I would die quickly from alcohol poisoning. My reason was typical: I didn't think I could deal with the pains of my particular illness. How I overcame my suicide attempt was, for one thing, my family came home early and found me just in time and the self realization that I might not be going to "happy-land" if I succeeded.
When I die, it will be on God's time. At least I will have a shot at peace knowing I DIDN'T do it 'my way'.

Yes
Medication
Life sucked and I didnt want to warp my daughter's mind with my issue's.
I still struggle with it everyday. God gave me life, I learn to deal with what comes on a daily basis.
My plate feels full daily, I am still constantly stressed, but I had a freak issue with nitroglycerin that stopped my heart, and wondered why God didn't take me.
The ones that fail still have a purpose here. What it is, I personally do not know, but I go through each day the best I can, seek therapy, and try to gain a more positive attitude about life. To actually smell the roses.

No but a friend of mine did try. 1. He jumped off a bridge. 2. Many reasons to him but mainly personality disorder. 3. He's still working on it and has support from family and friends.
