Get a good size seed less watermelon (oblong or round ok) if oblong, cut 1/4 of end off. Flip upside down so it sits flat. Then cut a bit of a hole in it so that the other piece will sit in it balanced.
Scoop out the larger piece of watermelon as much as you can.
into a large bowl or container. You can cut a decorative edge on the watermelon if you choose.
Now the punch.
Takes the seeds(if any) out of the melon.
in a blender (make take 2-3 batches) blend the watermelon tell smooth.
You can also blend cantaloupe and strawberries too if you'd like.
In the bowl or container add orange juice, and a bit of pineapple juice.
Lastly add a bottle of ginger ale.
Pour into your "Melon Punch bowl" add sliced fruit to decorate (limes, oranges) and ice. and Enjoy!
PS you can also freeze some of the juice(without ginger ale) in ice cube trays to add to the punch. That way it doesn't get watered down. Good Luck.

One of my favorites is a simple, but delicious punch that will serve up to 50 people.
2 quarts Rainbow Sherbert
3 - 2 liter size bottles of 7-up
Place half of the sherbet into your punch bowl and allow to soften. Add 7-up gently. Do not stir. Float remaining sherbet in scoops on punch.
