No I don't believe that it is right, not at all. If you are in a relationship with someone, why on earth would you be giving your number out to memebrs of the opposite sex unless you were planning to be unfaithful?
Men are pretty darned good at this 'double standards' thing - we must not let them get away with it any more. Put your foot down and tell him that you are perfectly happy not to give out your number to other people just so long as he doesn't either!

It just depends for what purpose it was given for. Guys can have girls as friends and girls can have guys as friends. But, remember that if the phone numbers are just for friends and nothing more then that kind of jealousy can destroy a relationship. But, if its being handed out for dating pourposes then find someone else because they are not worth your time.

If you are still talking "boys" and "girls" instead of "men" and "women", you are very young, and should be seeing other people and moving on as soon as he first gives out his number to another girl.

Well, if you've already agreed that it's going to be a relationship based on possessiveness, jealousy, and an unwillingness to trust, then no. It isn't right.

...yes, grow up girl..your bf can't have the best of both worlds and deprive you of yours..if he can't trust u giving out your # to other guys whom you wanna just relate to as acquaintances whatsoever, then waste him. TRUST is the hardest but bestest test in a relationship. apparently, he failed...BIG TIME!
no offence, though:)

only if you do not have a problem with him doing it. why can't people just be honest with themselves. 80% of all men cheat and 80% of all women cheat.why can't people just look at life as what it is. it's to short to worry if your lover is fooling around, there is an 80% chance they are!!! so give out your # to whoever you want to give it to. come to think of it give it to me!!!!!!

If you are young enough to still be saying "boys" and "girls", then you are too young for a serious relationship. Give out your number and date other boys, especially if he is giving his number to other girls.

no, it's not right... if it's an exclusive relationship neither one of you should be giving your numbers to anyone. Tell him to stop or you'll give your number out to anyone you want to. Good luck.
