Hi just wondering, I have personal experience with both .Years ago I came across a young injured Crow, I took him in and My Bantam hen and I nursed him back to health.
He fell in love with the hen and did his best to tear up my plants and steal the cats toys and build such a fine nest that he was sure Henny Penny would want to use it with him He could laugh like a madman,cluck like a chicken and say"CROW...LOVE YOU!" Pretty cool..
My Doves are African ring neck doves, and I have 4, three are gentle and sweet, they coo and bill and love my company,but would be happy with just each other. One dove, LARRY, He is different, He craves my attention, he attacks any male human,dog,cat etc. that comes near me, All night long if someone walks past my bedroom door, Larry the watch dove, screams in an insane cackle warning the intruder not to enter my room. During the day, when I come home from work, the moment he hears my Car door slam he screams and cackles and sings like a darn rooster!
I think my friend the crow was cool, I think my dove Larry is depraved!

They are both cool birds. The crow can learn to talk a little. The Dove have a peaceful coo.

I have bred doves... They are one of the dumbest birds ever. Granted, they are sweet and can make great companions, but the crow is WAY smarter.
...I have such an effinity for ALL birds, I have stopped eating chicken, won't touch turkey and I own several different breeds of parrot :)

The crow. It is intelligent, organized and connected. Doves look good, but they are dumb!

Crows are really smart birds which makes them cool. There is actually one species of crow that actually uses a tool, picks up sticks to put in ant holes to catch them and eat them. They are known to save and hide their sticks and re-use them again when they are hungry.
