Okay, this was inspired by an email I received. What is the Best way you've met a stranger and gotten a date? What kind of situation were you in, and how did you approach them? Also answer if you were the one who was approached. Maybe I'll write a book about the perfect way meet people. Probably not, but I'm still curious.

Well i met this girl from another state by tripping and dropping my drink...it was imberising but she helped me up and we talked and we dated for 2 years and broke up...thats life

I met a stranger one night at a dance club. I was dancing and drunk. She was dancing and drunk. I under the influence of alcohol found the nerve to ask this BODACIOUS BLOND if she would dance with me. We started dirty dancing to a song and well, we actually cut the dance short, went to a booth and sat to talk a while. I got her number and actually called her, but not for two days. I got her address, sent her some flowers. Called her a couple days later, asked her out for a night of dancing. That went so well, she came to my house and we uhmm, did the dirty till 6am. It was OFF THE HOOK! We then dated for about 3 years until one weekend she hooked up with an ex-boyfriend when I went out of town to work.

I was a Supervisor in Customer Service and had a call transferred to me from an irate patient. It took two weeks to fix his situation but I fixed it. We dated for five years after that. It didn't work out in the end but it was a FUN five years!

Well I didn't get a date, but now he's my bestest guy friend. It was kind of an accident. My friend brought me to this site called "iSketch" and she was teaching me the basics and stuff about it. She was teaching me how to kick ppl out of chat rooms. So she invited this guy into the chatroom. I kicked him out and then she went on teaching me other things. He asked me why I kicked him out, and I explained that it's my first time on the site, so then we started talking and found that we have a lot of similar intrests. We exchanged s/n's and we've been talking to each other ever since. Now he's my best guy friend.

maybe not the best way but an interesting way was at the laundry in college on a very busy day and he needed a dryer and I was just finishing with one then we saw each other at the grocery store later that week and he peeked at my check to get my name then called, was very honest about how he got the number and that positive points for him.

i met a really cool guy at an amusement park once (i am a roller coaster nut)
he was hangin alone close to a coaster & I was getting off of it. He asked me if it was a 'bad one'....i said 'no, its a great one' and i offered to ride it with him!
