He states that he is allowed to fire off fireworks until 11pm. I am trying to find this info myself. My children were asleep but woke my wife up. She wasn't feeling good. Also, is hard to tell if he is drunk because I have never seen him without a beer in his hands all hours of the day/night. The firework that he fires off is the ones that fires out of a tube and makes an incredible amount of noise to get in the air and then sparkles in the air. When he said that he wanted to fight me he had to throw his beer down and at that point, I told him that I was through talking to him.

Call the police. They would know if there's a local/state law against firing off fireworks and also if there's a time frame on when it is allowed. If your neighbor is breaking the law, they will even come out to your house and tell your neighbor to stop, or offer him a nice ride in the backseat to the police station. If that doesn't work, offer him a six-pack if he'll agree not to shoot off any more fireworks until the next day at_insert time here_

I would call the police or the fire department.
If it is a holiday it is a different story but if he is firing them off for just the heck of it and keeping people awake who have to get up and go to work early in the morning I would think the police would be in your favor. This neighbor is disturbing the peace and on top of that he wanted to harm you. I would definitely call the police.
I don't know where you live but where I live the fire department is not too fond of drunkards using fire works (especially with this drought). If the police won't help call the fire department.

In my town, it is illegal to fire of the fireworks within city limits (though I do anyway). Check into that. If he threatens bodly harm (illegal in most states) then call the police. Get witnesses to this fact first. Round them up before confronting the rude individual!!! Numbers matter in this case. He said, she said doesn't fly. Johnny Law doesn't want to hear it anyway. Just don't say anything that sounds like a threat other than your going to call the police. Been there, done that with music!!!!!

See what happens when you interrupted somebodies fun and then you realize that you had no skillful means to continue further from your approach and telling him (your new swearing enemy), your calling men with guns to take your place?
If you weren't such a control freak, you would be in less fights, your life would be safer, and you also need to start chilling out.
Showing that your not a leader adversely, so stop putting your wishing before reality hits you for more suffering. Why did you make yourself suffer more, only you would know, but I would choice another path.

Too late for that weekend road trip, huh. It is too early in the Holiday Weekend for all this. So sorry you're going through this. Maybe share a 6 pack with him tomorrow (ginger ale) and agree on some boundaries for the both of you (although he is clearly the one who needs them). Either that or... well...prepare for a battle. Godspeed.
