The only God to be feared is the false one created by early male religious leaders promoting their patriarchal agenda to control the masses through fear-based living.

The true God (no matter what name you give) is a formless, genderless energy form. God is the process of life itself and is the pure energy source of Love.

There is nothing to fear from God.

There is no satan, hell, sin or evil. These are all human constructs.

Live life in love, not fear.

Don't be scared. God wants to love you, but you have to accept His love. People who threaten other people about hell and the end times aren't showing very Christ-like characteristics. Don't listen to them. When you find out who God really is, you'll find out you have no reason to fear Him, Hes like a loving Father. That being said, as one of His children, we should not fear God, but we should still respect His authority and understand that every good father disciplines the children that he loves.

From Webster's 1828 Dictionary:

In good men, the fear of God is a holy awe or reverence of God and his laws, which springs from a just view and real love of the divine character, leading the subjects of it to hate and shun every thing that can offend such a holy being, and inclining them to aim at perfect obedience.

God is love and we should fear Him. Proverbs 9:10 says, "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." it doesn't mean we should be scared of Him. it means we should have respect for Him, fear Him as we would our father.

God is love (if he exists), but he can do anything, so you should kind of be afraid of him. I mean, look at Job. God tortured an innocent man, just to prove a point to Satan, so he could do anything to torture anyone, no matter how good they are. Seems kind of mean, but that what the bible says. God can do anything, supposedly, and you can't stop him.

Whoever told you that you have to be afraid of God is the crazy one. God loves you so much that He became flesh for you, in order to sacrifice that flesh on the altar of your salvation.
Doesn't sound like a scary God to me....

omg are you serious.. The Bible says..

Exodus 20:20:
20"Don't be afraid," Moses said, "for God has come in this way to show you his awesome power. From now on, let your fear of him keep you from sinning!"

This is why we ALL should fear God.

From the BIBLE

God is a god of love. But he does get angry. But so angry that we need to be afraid of Him, no way.

If you have a loving father that gets angry and is not overbearing when he does get angry. Would you be afraid of him? Most likely not.

God will discipline but not in a way that we need to fear Him that we see Him as a god of vengeance.

You shouldn't be afraid of god. Instead, you should be afraid of yourself, as god gave you the free-will to chose what (or not) to do. In case you do bad things, YOU will be punished and YOU will have to deal with the consequences.
