Well, for teens if they are living together then it doesn't have to be fair, but they shouldn't be having a sexual relationship. Most parents wouldn't let a boyfriend and girlfriend live together at that age and that is basically what would be going on. Plus, the inevitable troubles in a teen relationship would hurt the whole family. As adults, the situation is different since they are no longer living together under their parents' roof.

Yeah, genetically speaking, it's ok, I mean, first cousins get married and have kids turn out ok, so why can't step-siblings? But it's a social taboo, so not many people do that sort of thing. The American culture doesn't like marriage between people that are related in anyway to each other...I knew this girl who fell in love with her cousin four times removed or something...and she said if she had known they wouldn't've dated. Why not? There's enough of a blood mix so everything would be ok.

It is legal in the United States if they are both adults. It is considered morally wrong if you grew up with the step-sibling from a young age and thought of each other as brother and sister though.

Becoming step siblings as teens can be a difficult time, adjusting to new authority (parental) figures in your house, yada yada....If you find that you are physically attracted to your new brother or sister you should move very slowly. You may find out the the attaction is what used to be called "puppy love" and you might regret it and be stuck having to live with someone possibly for several years that you were intimate with at one time and now are sorry you were.

I know a step brother and sister that got married. they were in their mid teens when they became steps. Kinda weird tho. Even tho they arent related and it is probably perfectly legal, just seems a little weird.

Too weird...they are in a position where they act like brother in sister in our society, whether they like it or not, no matter what their ages. There are lots of people to date other than each other...sounds like they have "issues" with their parents and need a lot of therapy to me, lol. How very Jerry Springer.

They're legally too young, to have sex. And being that the're step relatives, they're really family. So having sex with them would be like having it with a sibling. That wouldn't be moral.

If they're of legal age, there's no reason not to, other than some family tension.
