What could be the problem? On WMP Classic, MPEG-2 is enabled to play but it still says "Cannot find DVD Directory". On WMP 10, it also says "No disc in drive". I also installed a dvd audio decoder with it. What can I do so my dvds will play?

Note- I don't know much about computers so if you can, put the answer in simple terms. ^_^;

Maybe you insert the wrong DVD disk. It might be +R or +RW. Back in the day, like 5 years ago, DVD drives don't play +R and +RW, only -R and -RW. I think you can replace the old drive for a new double-layer DVD drive.

1. Check if your cd rom is dvd compatible to find this look at your cd/rom it will say Cd/r or Dvd rom or dvd/r (note you need dvd rom or dvd r or rw so your cd rom can ready dvd)

2. if your cd rom is correct one and it still doesnt work install Intervideo Windvd 4 or higher it should work then
