I am assuming that your GPA would be figured on a 4.0 scale (standard) but you would be a better judge of how well you have done, i.e. daily assingments, tests, etc. However, the high schools in the district where I teach operate on a 12 point scale. 0=F, 1=D-, 2=D, 3=D+ up to 12=A+. This shows students and parents a more accurate reflection of the students work. When applying to colleges, the GPA is adjusted to a 4 point scale, of course, but I really like the 12 point scale.

4.0, but at some schools (like mine) they have weighted grades meaning if you take an honors or AP class you can have a grade point average higher than 4.0, for instance my friend has a 4.6 g.p.a. weighted and a 4.0 unweighted.... if your school uses a 5.0 scale and they weight grades it's possible to have a 5.0 or higher.... and if they don't weight grades than 5.0 is the highest...
A 3.408 is above average... not perfect (4.0) but you can definetly get into a good college if your in highschool and you probably rank in the upper half of your highschool.... my overall g.p.a. is a 3.833 unweighted and I'm the top 12% of my class... so your doing good!

Most GPA scales run from 0.0 to 4.0. A=4, B=3. C=2, D=1, F=0. At 3.4 your doing pretty well.

The best GPA you could possibly get is a 4.0, though some small highschools go to 5.0. The higher, the better and your's is pretty good, you'd graduate from college summa *** laude with that GPA.

4.0 you're above average. A 2.0 is an average score.

It depends on the scale your school uses. Typically it's a 4.0, but some schools use a 5.0 scale (so that would be the highest).

4.0 is usually the best, but if there are classes that are weighted, they are worth more and so can bring your GPA to over 4.0
