okay so theres this guy.. he's pretty much my bff... we were close since we were like 5 and our whole families are really close... i love him.. like i don't like him.. i love him.. and i want him to be my boyfriend really badly.. but idk if it will ruin our friendship if something happens.. or it will be great? but he acts like he likes me but he won't admit it.. like he gives me a big hug like every time i see him in the hall.. which most guys do.. but i mean like sometimes.. he'll text me at night.. and he'll be like.. look out your back window.. and he'll like do a cute little thing like scare me or something.. cuz he lives right next door.. then he asked me to go see the town fireworks with him.. but idk if he meant it to be friendly or something more?? i really don't know what i should do and if he likes me?? he admitted he liked me in 4th grade... but he won't admit he still does.. help!?! what do i do and does he like me? thankss<3

He likes you...and I dont think its a bad idea at all to make your bff your boyfriend...thats actually very good idea...because you guys are friends and lovers so you will be able to always talk about stuff and then you guys know so much about each other allready..you know...I think you should try and get with him...and he does like you...I know that for a fact...your probably all he thinks about honestly...just do something to let him know...like hold his hand or something...all you have to do is fall into because everything is all ready there as far as liking each other...trust me

You'll never know how a relationship will turn out. Not even if you've known a person all your lives. People change. Situations change.
It's hard to say from your description, whether he likes you like a really good friend/sister or if he likes you romantically. There's no way to find out except to ask. If you try to have a friend ask for you, he may not tell the friend how he really feels.
Are there any events, either with your school or with your group of friends, where it's very obvious that if a boy and girl are together, that it's a date? Like a school dance, or going to the movies as a couple? Ask him out to one of these events. If he says 'yes,' then it's very likely that he likes you romantically. If he says 'no,' and doesn't give a reason, or if he tells you directly that it wouldn't be a "date," then it's likely that he thinks of you as a friend/sister.
If he says 'yes,' try to find an opportunity while you're out together to tell him how you feel. Be prepared to hear him say that he doesn't feel the same way. I know, from personal experience, that no matter how prepared you think you are, it still hurts if they say they don't like you "that way." But at least you'll know how he feels.
Also, you didn't say how old you are. Remember that every state, and every family, has rules on the right age for dating. You want to follow those rules if you don't want to get yourself or your friend into any trouble.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

i can't tell you if he like's you but i can tell you this, you should just tell him how you feel...and if he doesn't feel the same than you know where you stand, be careful so you wont end up with your feelings hurt cause guys can be tricky....one day their with you...than the next their with somebody else, and here's one rule i think all us girls should follow and that is never claim someone who's doesn't claim you cause you would look like a dumb @$$ but just follow your heart, if he doesn't feel the same way move on.
