What is 'regular oil'?

We are not talking motor mechanics I hope?

If you use it in any product then yes. If you are backing in it it is fine but beware not too hot. Same as butter it will burn but at greater heat than butter.
I would advise against deepfrying in olive oil. Same reason as before but it can be done and tastes very good. Specially fish.

Always be sure and get extra-virgin olive oil.

The IOOC standards are complicated. The labels in stores, however, clearly show an oil's grade:

Extra-virgin olive oil comes from the first pressing of the olives, contains no more than 0.8% acidity, and is judged to have a superior taste. There can be no refined oil in extra-virgin olive oil.
Virgin olive oil with an acidity less than 2%, and judged to have a good taste. There can be no refined oil in virgin olive oil.
Olive oil is a blend of virgin oil and refined virgin oil, containing at most 1% acidity. It commonly lacks a strong flavor.
Olive-pomace oil is a blend of refined pomace olive oil and possibly some virgin oil. It is fit for consumption, but it may not be called olive oil. Olive-pomace oil is rarely found in a grocery store; it is often used for certain kinds of cooking in restaurants.
Lampante oil is olive oil not used for consumption; lampante comes from olive oil's ancient use as fuel in oil-burning lamps. Lampante oil is mostly used in the industrial market.

Usually yes. If you are deep frying or cooking something very light in flavor, you may opt not to though. Olive oil adds it's distinctive flavor and color to everything. Also, it has a lower smoking point that some other oils (canola, peanut), and so it should not be used for very high temperature cooking (deep frying, for example).

Olive oil is also much better for your heart than shortening or corn oil.

Cooking, yes.

Car, no.

Olive oil has a defined flavor. If you are using it to grease a pan, you can use regular olive oil. If you're using it in a ercipe, go with the extra, extra virgin olive oil.

If you are talking about cooking oil, yes. Olive oil is better for you, plus it tastes better. It is the only type of oil I will cook with.

yes, i do with all my food...but olive oil has a high smoke point, so not a lot of heat and all the good that's in olive oil is lost.

depends. in salad, yes. in baking especially cakes and cookies, olive oil is likely to make it fall and it gives a bad taste to it too. for frying its better not to use olive oil either cause cooked/burned olive oils bad for your tummy.
