A brick red would be a daring, bold and alive color. What color is the floor, though? If it's dark then a dark color won't go well.

A nice toasted almond color would be neutral and you cannot go wrong with it.

But one that I saw at Home Depot called Cookie Crumb would probably do it. It's a nice creamy, pale beige color which looked really nice and crisp.

However, if you want a modern update, I would suggest you do a light mint green, a light melon color, a light lavender, or a light sky blue. These are all nice colors which are being used a lot in today's model homes.

Sherwin Williams Compatible Cream. Go to the Sherwin Williams site. There's a page where you can test colors in model rooms to see how the color would look.

I love this color. It's warm and brings the sunshine into the room.

I painted my living room a low lustre white. it's winter here for about 6 months of the year so the white helps keep it bright in the room.

Any bright PASTEL colors, ( orange, pink, yellow ) will do great. Try to avoid dark colors, like brown, because it will definetly make the room seem small and sad.

My living room is painted a warm yellow, but I don't think that would go well with beige and grey.

If you are adventurous, you can go with red. If you want to play it safe, you can go with taupe (a grey beige).
