So does anyone else here really hates Hayley Westenra? Her voice is sooooooooooo weak and whiney and she has the nerve to call herself a classical artist. She should probably be arrested for what she did to O Mio Babbino Caro.

I agree with you with all of my being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She uses little to no vibrato in her voice, which is quite crucial to many of the songs she sings. I think she seems like a very nice girl and as she ages her voice may become stronger but as it stands I give her a thumbs down. And her O Mio Babbino Caro makes me want to cry. Anyone who actually knows real opera would know that she isn't really all that good. Now as for Katherine Jenkins, she is like a flipping goddess.

Whiny? I hear NO whininess/nasality in her voice at all. If you want to talk about someone being arrested for "what she did to O Mio Babbino Caro", arrest Charlotte Church! & besides, the pronunciation used in "O Mio Babbino Caro" is the true Italian pronunciation.
& how can her voice be "weak"? She's a LYRIC SOPRANO, so she's got a light, clear voice. She uses her mask correctly, she's been classically trained, & she & her teacher both know what they're doing.
Thirdly, she does NOT call herself a "classical artist", even though her technique is classically based. She first started out singing show tunes, but has since branched out to pop & crossover.
Get your facts straight before you go bashing someone.

I'm not really a fan of hers. I think she would be a much better pop singer. I heard her sing All I Ask of You from Phantom and I wanted to cry.
