It is too close to the equator and doesnt have any consistent wind currents that come to it from places like the arctic. This causes it to have a sub-tropical climate, and in some places a true tropical climate (the very tip of the penninsula and the florida keys). occassionally though, it does get cold enough to snow there and has in the past, but mainly due to its location that wont occur.

It snows in Florida. Florida has a large land mass, are you asking more about Southern Florida? Because it does snow in Tallahassee and the panhandle area every year.
It last snowed in Miami in 1973. The Miami Herald had pictures of the snow as it came down on the first page the day it snowed.
However, as most people have answered, it is too warm to snow in most of Florida most of the time. When I lived in Miami, the temperature got as low as 43 one time the entire 4 years I was there, way too warm for snow. Also, winter is the dry season in Miami, so there is little precipitation there during the same time as the temperatures would get low enough.
But keep an eye on the weather map this coming winter, and you will see that there is snow in Northern Florida. People just don't associate that area with the resort areas of the state.

Because Florida is close to the equator which is very hot. This is why the climate there is always warm/hot and there is alot of rain but no snow. The only snow I've ever seen in FL was manufactured snow made from soap bubbles, and that was in Walt Disney World on Main Street during the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

It snows every year in some parts of Florida because people and companies actually get together and make like a snowy atmosphere with machines so children can enjoy the snow, even though we hardly ever get real snow. How can their hearts help but do that because so many of the children pray that they could play in the snow like they see on tv.

Rarely, On January 19, 1977, not only did snow fall in Florida, it marked the only time snow was on the ground in all 50 states at the same time.

Your wrong about it never snowing in Florida. I lived in Sarasota, Florida for 18 years and it did snow once while I lived there on Christmas Eve. We had no accumulation because the ground generally stays to warm for it to stick. We did however have big fluffy flakes.
