Hi I'm helping a buddy from Ghana get his Ghana passport and USA visa so he can come to America to get an education because he never recieved one in Ghana. His parents died when he was a little kid and his grandfather never sent him to school. His grandfather is poor so he had to work to put food on the table. If anyone can give me a website I'd appreciate it. GOD BLESS!!!

I would doubt that he could get a Ghanan passport on line. Passport applications normally have to be made in person.

Once he does have that, although he can get the paperwork for a US visa on line, he'll have to appear at a US consolate to finish up the visa application.

So, no, there's no way to do that entirely on line.

Afraid not ...needs footwork and paperwork ... would very much doubt if he can get a passport online ... he will have to be able to produce birth certificates and photographs etc., etc., and produce a signature in front of an official at the very least ....

If he receives a passport, he can then apply for a visa ... he MIGHT be able to do that online ...

If he comes to the U.S. for the purpose of study, he will also have to show that he can support himself while he is here ... in other words, he needs to be able to show that he has an income, or money of some description ... failing that he could get a sponsor who takes financial responsibility for him ... that sponsor will have to earn quite a lot of money to be contemplated by the authorities ... so nothing is that simple ....

hi,
Your friend needs to go to the passport office in either Accra (phone number 0023321 666991-3, 667814)or Kumasi to make an application,he will need his birth certificate and passport pictures etc(he will be given details at the office). It takes about 2 weeks to a month to process and then he will need to make an application at the US embassy in accra.
He needs to show proof of a school in the US accepting him and funds to support his education. It can be a teduious process but you get there in the end.
