Circumcision is the removal of some or all of the foreskin (prepuce) from the penis. The frenulum may also be removed at the same time, in a procedure called frenectomy. The word "circumcision" comes from Latin circum (meaning "around") and caedere (meaning "to cut"). The state of being circumcised is sometimes called acucullophallia,[1](disputed — see talk page) not to be confused with acucullophilia.

Circumcision is a practice that begin within the Jewish faith, which involves the removal of the foreskin of the penis. It was a command to Abraham to make him the first official Jew and it was a test of faith to a degree. It is now preformed on every Jewish male on their eigth day of life.
If you were born in America in the past fifty years, chances are you don't have a foreskin, and you may never have seen one. The foreskin is simply a flap of skin that covers over the head of the penis. In the 1950s, American doctors began to believe that circumcision actually helped prevent disease, so it became a standard operation for babies across America. However, within the past decade, they have reassessed the data and decided it doesn't really have an effect on diseases. Thus, it is becoming less uncommon for babies to keep their foreskin.

The foreskin is removed from the penis. This is generally done in infancy, if done. It is the parents choice. Some opt for it for hygiene purposes, some opt not because they want things "all natural". These are the 2 most common reasons, but there are a ton more, including religious beliefs.

circumcised---is when a male has excess foreskin surgically removed to prevent any infections from urine that does not get removed from the entire penis. the excess foreskin usually encases the head of the penis therefore not allowing all the urine to be shaken off or wiped clean properly by the parents.

normally males are curcomcized if the foreskin round their penis is to tight and can cause problems in later life like urine infection, finding it hard to pee etc, they just cut the forskin away to give the penis a bit of leeway
