The Pope doesn't get paid anything except a very small amount for personal items.

When JPII died he had only a few books and a watch. That is it.

Everything that he needs is provided by the Church.

He does not get paid a salary, his living needs are paid by the church, and he recieves a stripend to pay for perosnal items needed. The church provides his travel, church airplane, car and so on. An example when the previous Pope died, besides some writings and books, he had nothing.
