Ok....excuse me for making one SMALL spelling error....it is spelled P-E-O-P-L-E.

"I need a beer cause I'm all up tight" as someone pointed out? Another stated they can bet I'm not so perfect either......honey, never said I was.....just pointing out something I have noticed here in this forum.

There is a BIG difference between misspellings by typing error and blatently misspelling words. I agree, I think none of these people even finished elementary school.

They just might be doing the best that they can. There are many different ages on here, as well as nationalities that may not know English perfectly. I surely don't know English perfectly and I've lived in the states my whole life and have a degree from a very well-known college. If they didn't go to school--who cares. If they want to act cool--who cares. Why does it even bother people? Do people that are well educated think that they are better than people that can't spell or don't use correct grammer?

It's my first day here and what I am most disappointed about is not the spelling and grammar, but that some folks are treating this area like a message board, instead of giving answers. I've asked one question and gotten 7 useless replies.

But then, that is exactly what I am doing now. I think it's time to sign off and do something more constructive.

I'm afraid you are looking at the future of America. I'd suggest you brush up on your Japanese or Mandarin - or Spanish for that matter. These folks aren't afraid of work and most of them think that education is a good thing. This is a fabulous country but most of us just take up space here any more, so folks who want it worse than we do will just come and take it from us. No war or anything, they'll just buy it from us - with the same dollars we send them for the TVs and shoes and electric cars we don't know how to build any more.

I think the majority of the problem is that most people type too fast and don't check the spelling and grammar mistakes before they post an answer or question.

I think in some instances people are doing it just to "act cool," especially the younger ones, however there is quite alot of "ignorance" in this generation. I believe that it has alot to do with the schools, they have adopted so many new phrases and words that were never considered "proper English" and they don't teach they way they use to either.

The sentence "I see some of the most awful questions asking with bad spelling and even worse grammar!!" is grammatically incorrect, hypocrite.

You have to remember that the public schools in the US can barely teach some people to read. I tend to be a bad speller but at least I try and I hate using Internet language, it is worse than barbaric.
