Many Presidents of the United States have been guilty of murder. In my view Carter perhaps did the least evil. In my personal view Harry Truman who dropped the bombs on the unsuspecting civilians of Japan has committed the gravest single crime in the history of humanity, as he totally destroyed two cities in the shortest period of time and completely.
Nixon and other Presidents who were involved in the Vietnam war, Reagan in killing the south americans and the Bush Sr. and Jr. have their share of murders to their credit.
All rulers end up killing the innocent =(. THAT is why Ali the heir of the prophet used to tremble when he prayed, as the powerful are more answerable to the LORD ALMIGHTY.
May the Lord give us men who tremble in front of the Lord MOST HIGH for wielding power. Amen.

The President is a civil servant, and there is a little thing called "separation of church and state", so the President doesn't need to follow a religion, never mind a Christian one, so breaking a Commandment shouldn't be an issue in the first place.

I don't know if any US president personally killed anyone. Anyway...the 10 comandments are the old covenant of the Bible, the New Covenant sets Christians free from the law. The only new comandment given is to love your neighbor as yourself...if you follow that...you will follow the old 10 comandments by default.
Loving your neighbor would include invading their country if they are ruled by a tryrant. I don't think you could use any US war as a premise to say anyone broke a "thou shalt not kill" comandment. US only enters wars to liberate, not to take over the nation for our own gain.

The unfortunate translation of the King James bible says "thou Shalt Not Kill",when it really says "you shall do no murder"Even after the Flood,God said a murderer shall be put to death. That was pre-mosaic law,it stood before the law was enacted also after Jesus freed us (Christians) from the law of Moses. Therefore any President who has had a murderer put to death(say even as Gov. of Texas)has had Zarquawi (sp)killed and other cut-throats mowed down by our Troops, will see to it the mass murderer S. Hussein is dealt with,is not a murderer, but the protector of his people. That goes for Washington,Madison,Lincoln,McKinley,Wilson, and especially Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman. So the one who was probably closest to that charge would be Lyndon Johnson for "Super Escalating" the Vietnam War and by not letting our troops kick the living Crap out of the NVA,(we never lost a battle not even The Tet offensive although Cronkite and Rather would have you believe different)we lost twice as many men as we should have.No where in the Bible does it say you can't DEFEND yourself or even go to war for the right cause(such as having 3000 citizens killed or bouncing out a dictator who's up to bullying the whole Middle East by using chemical weapons( on the Kurds and Iranians)Threatening our Ally Israel by lobbing Scuds missles at Tel Aviv etc. and now this other Joker threatening to wipe Israel off the map?Hussein's in jail and will probably die,but the spirit of Hitler and his henchmen just move on to another body.In the book of Daniel, the angel tells Daniel he heard his prayer days before but was withstood 21 days by the Prince of Persia to bring an answer. He was talking about the Spiritual Power, the Demonic Forces that controlled Persia.Just as they controlled Hitler's Germany, as they are defeated ,they move on to the next willing accomplice. You can let Evil roll over you Passivity will only get you or you loved ones creamed.

Which ever pres. was in command during the Viet Nam war. The casualties on our side alone was greater than the combined casualties of WW I, II, Korea, and the Civil war put together. However in general there has been no president that has adhered to the commandment. Killing is a broad spectrum. It could be in war, or by abortion, or by the death penalty.

Presiding over the war with the most U.S. casualties, which I believe was the Civil War, I'd agree with Zombie about Abe Lincoln.
For anyone bringing up abortions as death ( a million per year is admittedly a high number), this is not caused or attributable to the US president.

because all men are created equivalent, no guy has a suitable to take a existence, for this reason the "thou" in thou shalt no longer kill rule. God, being the source of existence, has the right to take it away as provide it.

If you take the Commandment in context, than no US President has broken that commandment. The Bible requires a government to protect its people through force if necessary.

If being Commander-in-Chief (President) during a war is the criterion, Franklin Roosevelt. We intentionally fire-bombed civillians in Germany and Japan during WWII -- it was policy, and no one questioned it. I think that is pretty clearly murder, rather than justified self-defense.
