Too ahead of the times, but it depends on whether you mind standing out or being unique. Too ahead of the times will be unfamiliar to people and they won't know how to react to it.

I'd say getting a haircut 2 seasons ago is wose, because it is old stuff.. but itf you get a more in the future cut, you could start your own fad...ya know?

I tend to get a haircut based on temperature and work requirements. Right now, it is really short because I prefer it this way. I have never been a slave to fashion though.
