I broke up with my boyfriend coz i wanted to obey my parents coz they said Im too young to have a boyfriend(im 16 for heaven's sake!!!) and they said that its going to be a distraction especially now that Im on my senior year of highschool. I totally disagree but they're my parents. But I still like him more than ever and he said that he still like me and nothing can stop that. So right now i am really miserable coz I miss him and I dont think I've ever been distracted this much because of our breakup. I hate myself!!!

I think that you should really sit down and talk to your parents. Let them know how your feeling. Maybe you guys can come to an agreement were you can have a boyfriend but if you start to get distracted from your responsibilities then you can't see him anymore. Make them listen to you let them know what this is doing to you and just maybe they'll give you a chance.

I know, it really sucks! I had to break up with the guy of my dreams because my parents thought he was to "mature" for me, but he's only a year and a half older! I disobeyed them and saw him secretly, but I wouldn't advise that because when my mom found out , my whole family freaked out, and it was big drama. But now I also don't know what to do because I feel I'll never find a guy like that! Sorry, I don't have an answer , just wanted to share .......

If you 2 go to the same school then continue your relationship without your parents knowing. Yes it is being dishonest, but if you really like someone, you wouldnt let nothing get in the way of it.

You are old enough to have a boy friend, but not old enough to make it on your own..so you have no choice here. Things always have a way of working out for the best. I am surprised that your parents would be so anti-dating...did you get so serious that they were worried you would get in trouble???

if all you did was hold hands...I think your parents over-reacted.
for now just put up with it.
finish the exams then scream the roof down if they still refuse.
I mean it...make their life a living hell.

well i think if you really like him you should still talk to him. sometimes boys do distract girls especially when it comes to school. but i think you should follow your heart.

sure did, if the parents do not approve all they will do is make things more difficult...move on there are people out there that will love you for who you are...
